Dedicated to the memory of Dave Birkitt

This site is a tribute to Dave Birkitt. He is much loved and will always be remembered.

Following a diagnosis of Melanoma Cancer in March 2023, Dad showed so much strength and courage as he joined a clinical trial under the supervision of Dr Brent O'Carrigan, and his team at Addenbrookes Hospital. At that stage the clinical trial and the path ahead looked positive and we had planned one of the infamous park farm parties for August of this year to celebrate the end of his treatment. Sadly, however, that was not to be.

It's hard to describe the rollercoaster that Dad and our family have been through over the last 12 months. Dad was incredibly strong and brave, he fought until the very end and, as you would imagine, with his unwavering sense of humour and wit.

We not only celebrate his life with this page but we also send a heartful thanks to Dr Brent O'Carrigan, his team and all those at Addenbrokes who were part of this journey. We couldn't have wished for a greater level of care and support during our journey. It was Dave's wish that we should honour them by raising money for research into Melanoma cancer.

Rather than flowers, Dave has kindly asked that any affordable donation be made in his honour.

On behalf of us all, thank you very much.

Sue, David & Joanne xx
